Established as Mountain Home Cottages in the 1930's, Cuerna Vaca Cabins on Johnson Creek are a little piece of Heaven in the Hill Country. The property is situated on 17 acres among the trees and above the 1/3 mile of frontage on Johnson Creek. Each private cabin has one bedroom, one bath, full kitchen and dining. We are located about 30 miles west of Fredericksburg, and only 15 miles from Kerrville. Each cabin has a queen or king bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. You can rent 1 cabin separately, or as many cabins as you need for your group. The house, which has a 2 bedrooms (one king bed, the other with queen bed) and back room with bunk beds with trundle is also available for rent. There is a very large deck behind the cabins, a large gas firepit, loads of wildlife including Axis deer, whitetails, fallow, sika and the occasional black buck antelope, wild turkeys. The area is also amazing for avid birders. We are about 30 miles from Fredericksburg, Texas, which has amazing shopping. Do it yourself wine tours or chauffeured guided wine tours are available. Johnson Creek is the major tributary for the Guadalupe river, which is wonderful for kayaking, canoeing, floating. We have staff living on site to help you get settled and handle any needs which arise
